Leo...You always had that cute smirk on your face. I met Cathy Reeves (married don't know her new last name) and she told me what had happened. You were no doubt an wonderful Father and Husband and watching over your family now. Thank you for being a friend so many years ago.

Hey Leo

well I have been struggling to post on here, I think its a dodgy UK glitch but we'll see. another year.....well 41 was pants but i think 42 could be better...

I was thinking of you a week or so ago, watching the Jools Holland Show ( its all live music ) and Glenn Campbell was on now I have never been partial to the man ( my father told me he cheated at golf and.....well you shouldn't cheat at golf) anyway he started playing Green Day Time of Your Life, now you played that for me and Julie on the porch at Marthas Vineyard and...well I really have been unable to listen to it since you made the short journey heaven bound. Well bizarrely watching Campbell grin all the way through it ( and he did do a good version I thought ) made me smile and I thought......there must be a God you know, Leo can even make me forgive Glen Campbell!

Belated Happy Birthday Leo

Leo, my lovely, laughing boy.

I always miss you, especially around anniversaries. You forgot my birthday this year! Not like you. What's the matter? Was it something I said? Are you dead or something?

Will be thinking of you at Christmastime especially, and thinking of you everyday ordinarily. I know that you know how much a dad loves a son. How I miss those cell phone calls when we're driving down to see you. "Where are you? What time will you arrive?" "You have to see the kids when they're sleeping!"
God bless you, Leo. I know God blesses you because you lived an honourable life, and you worked hard to make a lovely home and a wonderful family. God bless Susie and your Henry and Paris; and also Croce, who I know you will be happy to see as the final watchman in your place. What a great guy he is! I would make him my son if he needed to be adopted! And God bless Greg and Nick who love you as much as you loved them, and continue to support your little guys in Bethel.
I send this with so much love, Dad.

Leo,
Without that scrap in high school over a certain someone's locker allocation issue, I would've never gotten to know you and thankfully you didn't land that punch! I still vividly remember our last St. Paddy's in Chicago and the heart warming chat just the 2 of us had before the rest of the boys arrived. Thank you for that. We didn't meet as much as I wanted to as our live's kept us busy but you are never far from my mind. Oh, by the way, I have a son now and he's 2 years old now. His name is Leo...

Love,
S.

Leo,
I wandered down to the corner pub last night to raise one in your name. (Trevor, Jeff, Scotty and my brother Bob all did likewise in their 'hoods). I wore the United strip you gave me years ago, and struck up a good chat about footy with another ol' United fan - a diamond geezer from Edinburgh. He asked where I got the strip. I told him, "a mate". He said, "He must be some mate to part with it." I said, "You're right: he is some mate indeed."
